Paschal Mystery

Many years had past since the an innocent Man was hanged on a cross. What worth it is to us? Many fields of science and forensics are trying to unravel the mystery of His Death and moreover in His resurrection. Yes, I am speaking of one Man...the Man who changed the world. And his name was Jesus of Nazareth.

Who is This Jesus? In the Scriptures and In the traditon of the Church, He is the Son of God. From the beginning verse of the Gospel of John, He is the Word and He is God. He came to be a witness. A visible image of God worth worship. He came to fulfill the law and the prophecy. But along the way of His journey, He endures rejection and unto the death to calvary. His death is fulfillment of the law, but His resurrection is the triumphant of God over death. God had suffered with  us. God is not suffering but of love.  He has loved us that He stretched His hand to the cross. We must not grieved in His death but we must rejoiced more on His resurrection.

In remembering, in the sense of reliving the event in our hearts, we do this remembering in the Season of Lent. And its heart is in The Holy Week and emphasizing on  The Paschal Mystery of The Lord. What is this mystery? a mystery that is holding the truth about the suffering and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. A mystery must not only put on a passive sense but on a dominant sense that is through repentance and sacrament of reconciliation. This week is not only abstaining of what we digest but also of what pleasure we give to our flesh. The Paschal Triduum, the most important days of the Holy week,  it is here that we can see the importance of His death into our salvation. The Lamb slain, that death will not come in our doors. But in the deepest cave, we can always see a light in its end. This Living tradition passed down to us by the Apostles. Brothers and Sisters, Are we again passing through the mystery of the Lord  as if it is a simple holiday and what actions are we going to partake? What worth it is to us?
